The Sun's Sign

The Sun’s position at the time of birth is measured in degrees and seconds, so there is no such thing as being ‘on the cusp’! The degree of the Sun is always in one sign or the next, and this applies to people too. From year to year however, the change-over date between signs can sometimes vary, so it’s as well to check in an astrological ephemeris or with an astrologer to confirm the Sun’s position if you aren’t sure.

The Sun's Significance

The Sun enables growth and blossoming on our planet, without it we could not be. All of nature is made possible and then revealed in various stages of development, maturity, decline, death and rebirth through the solar year. As we are part of nature, the Sun at the time of year we are born reveals something about our basic nature, how we tend to behave and what we as individuals can contribute to the whole.
