June 22nd – July 22nd
Element: Water; Energy type: Initiating; Astrological ruler: the Moon.
Nature: Emotional, shy, funny, family-minded, loyal, kind-hearted, security minded. Cancerians live through their perceptions and impressions which can be changeable like the phases of the Moon. They are guided by their deep inner feelings of what is right or wrong for them personally, which seems ironic behaviour from the most socially conventional of all the signs.
Downside: Moody Moon-ruled loonies… can be permanently hormonal, including the men, up and down and never know what they are going to feel from one day to the next. Worth it though, as they can be highly entertaining even when all over the place.
Values: Kindness, home and family, sympathy, understanding, financial security.

Style: Homely homes with things that have personal meaning: collections, photographs, gifts from friends and family. Cancerians are the most sentimental of all the signs and their homes are always cosy, full of memorabilia and for some reason, the colour blue. Cancerians may benefit from a personal style makeover as they can be ultra-conservative and become a little stuck in their ways with clothing and colours.
Occupations: Cancerians are well-represented in all the occupations that foster the feeling of security, such as insurance, construction, stocks, bonds and trusts, charity work and family-owned or traditional businesses. Cancerians are also natural comedians, story-tellers, lyricists and writers being naturally perceptive and keen observers.
Partners: Cancerians tend to hide, crab-like behind rocks (partners, houses, work), but later in life may venture forth into the sunshine and live a little. Cancerians do well with lots of signs as they are naturally domesticated, fun to be with, kindly and considerate. The lighter-hearted, more freedom –loving signs such as Sag, Gemini and Aquarius may give them a wide berth, but other signs form a queue for domestic bliss.
