July 23rd – August 23rd
Element: Fire; Energy type: Stabilising; Astrological ruler: the Sun
Nature: Generous, warm like the Sun, dramatic, glamorous, glorious, a leader. Leos often seem impervious to life’s ups and downs, taking everything in their stride, yet they are perhaps the most sensitive and easily wounded sign of all. They want to be validated for all their many generous acts and become offended if this is not forthcoming from loved-ones!
Downside: Drama-queens extraordinaire and can be pompous with it. They can be a bit full of themselves but only to be taken with a pinch of salt as they can’t help themselves and just need to be given due attention and plenty of curtseying.
Values: Grace, courtesy, good manners and etiquette, hierarchy.

Style: Leos love a feeling of luxury and have a very strong sense of style that is expressed through colour, texture, fine fabric, design and placement of objects for dramatic effect. Lighting is important and is used to create moods. Clothing is in some way dramatic and where possible, also expensive and well-made. Leos love parties with themes and are fantastic, the best, hosts and hostesses.
Occupations: Leos are natural actors and performers, loving the spotlight. For this reason, they are often found in entrepreneurial or corporate roles as the boss, head honcho or top banana, or else have a role that allows them at least a degree of autonomy. Female Leos like to dress to impress in their public life, and this may not necessarily be a work role but a glamorous life-style that requires an equally stylish and lavish wardrobe.
Partners: Leo loves an appreciative audience, so attracts people who are happy to take more of a back seat. They also love to adore someone they can lavish their generosity and warmth on, so willing recipients to this heady package might be Cancer or Pisces. The Leo ego can be a bit of a handful, so others with strong opinions, such as Taurus, Aquarius and Capricorn may not be so appreciative! Sagittarians will indulge Leos whilst not allowing them to take themselves too seriously.
